Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking an Automation/Manufacturing Engineer to advance the Automation System within the Manufacturing Engineering Department across multiple DC facilities. You will mentor teams, lead automation initiatives, and ensure alignment with plant management on capabilities progression.

The role requires strong experience in robotics, PLC programming, code development, and lean processes, with focus on standardization and project leadership.

Qualifications

• Launch management with structured APQP process and project plans for new cell launches.
• Ability to take a product from drawing stage to deployment readiness as lead engineer.
• Experience with highly computerized systems, code development, and system integration.
• Ability to drive improvements and apply scientific methods in real environments.
• Experience with robotics (6 axis, AGM/AMR), PLC programming, and SLAM technology.
• Experience with lean processes and mentoring patterns like the 5Q kata.

Responsibilities

• Mentor processes to the alignment plan for automating locations.
• Keep management updated on progress and obstacles.
• Continuously improve processes within the Automation System framework.
• Design, scope, and implement new automation packages.
