Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company – Trenton is seeking a Controls Engineer II to design, develop, implement, troubleshoot, and continuously improve electrical control systems and PLC-based manufacturing equipment.

This role partners with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and Manufacturing Engineering to drive capital projects, equipment installation, process improvements, and robust production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or related engineering field.
• Minimum 2 years in manufacturing engineering, automation, or controls.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment in production.
• Reading electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering software.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost-effective manufacturing methods and improve processes.
• Troubleshoot and improve PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems.
• Lead capital projects from concept through implementation.
• Coordinate installations, startups, and commissioning with internal/external teams.
