Job summary

BW Design Group, part of Barry-Wehmiller, seeks a Controls Engineer in Greenville, SC to join our Control System Integration Practice. You will work with senior leaders and technical experts delivering high-quality automation solutions for world-class clients in manufacturing industries.

You will design, implement, and Commission control systems, PLCs, and HMI/SCADA applications, while coordinating with internal teams and clients to meet aggressive schedules and ensure safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Two+ years as a controls engineer in automated manufacturing
• Experience with PLC/SCADA design and integration
• Familiar with UL508A panel design and fabrication
• Understanding of instrument control and I&C
• Experience with field instrumentation and installation
• Knowledge of safety applications

Responsibilities

• Develop automation solutions and support projects from design to start-up
• Design automation control systems and project documentation
• Diagnose automation problems
• Interface with teams, clients, and vendors
• Configure software and hardware per specs
• Program PLCs and HMI/SCADA systems
• Manage projects and deliverables to schedule
• Coordinate site construction and start-up activities
• Validate and commission facility systems and turnover
• Collaborate to strengthen client relationships
