Day & Zimmermann is seeking a Controls Engineer II to design, program, and optimize PLCs, SCADA systems, and automated equipment. You will work with process owners to boost uptime and throughput while reducing scrap.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, documentation, and hands-on control system development, with opportunities to lead maintenance teams and coordinate external services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; Electrical/Automation focus preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, troubleshoot, and program automated equipment. Document solutions and provide technical controls support across the installation.
• Work with process owners to design, build and maintain user-friendly controls to increase uptime and throughput.
• Find solutions to better utilize existing equipment and tools to improve throughput and reduce downtime.
• Limited scope of project management
• Direct the work of maintenance personnel and outside services.
