Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group is looking for a Controls Engineer II/III to join our team in the US. You will design and deploy automation systems for high-speed manufacturing, collaborate with clients, and drive projects from design through startup.

You will work with Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley PLCs and various SCADA platforms, traveling up to 70% for installation and commissioning across multiple client sites. A degree in engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct experience as a controls engineer in automated manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation solutions across design, configuration, testing, commissioning, and startup of high-speed manufacturing processes.
• Design automation control systems and create project documentation to meet client requirements.
• Interface with teams, clients and vendors to ensure project success.
• Lead site construction and installation activities and support turnover to customers.
