Job summary

Design Group is seeking a Controls Engineer in the United States to join a team of industry leaders in control system integration for manufacturing environments. You will design automation solutions, program PLCs and HMIs, and collaborate with clients to deliver high-quality projects.

You will work with Rockwell-based systems, assist with documentation, and contribute to project planning and execution while traveling for installations and start-ups as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years direct experience as a controls engineer in automated processes or system integration.
• Experience designing automation controls systems (PLC, SCADA).
• Familiarity with industrial control panel design and fabrication (UL508A).
• Understanding of instrumentation and controls (I&C).
• Experience with engineering documentation (P&IDs, PFDs, SOPs).
• Willingness to travel for installation, start-up, and client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation solutions by designing control systems and creating project documentation.
• Interface with project teams, clients and vendors.
• Program PLCs (Rockwell) and HMIs (FactoryTalk, Cimplicity, Wonderware, Ignition).
• Communicate plan progress to project stakeholders.
• Manage project deliverables to budget, schedule and scope.
