Job summary

Design Group is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join our Control System Integration Practice in Maryland. You will work with seasoned leaders to deliver high-quality automation solutions for top clients, participating in design, configuration, testing, commissioning, and startup of complex systems.

You will collaborate across teams, travel as needed, and leverage Rockwell PLCs, Ignition, and multiple HMI/SCADA platforms to ensure project success and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in control systems and automation projects.
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation, and control panels.
• Background in industrial manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
• Ignition experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation solutions across design, software config, testing, and startup of automated processes.
• Design control systems and create project documentation to meet client needs.
• Diagnose automation problems and interface with clients and vendors.
• Program PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell) and HMI/SCADA tools as required.
• Manage projects and deliverables to schedule and scope.
