Job summary

Design Group is seeking a Controls Engineer to join our Control System Integration Practice. You will design and implement automation solutions, program Rockwell PLCs and HMIs, and collaborate with clients, vendors, and project teams to deliver reliable manufacturing systems.

You will contribute to project documentation, schematics, and safety considerations while supporting startup activities and field installations at customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in control systems engineering for automated manufacturing processes.
• Experience designing automation controls systems (PLC, SCADA).
• Strong documentation including P&IDs and process diagrams.
• Knowledge of safety applications and electrical power distribution.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation solutions by designing control systems and producing project docs and drawings.
• Interface with project teams, clients and vendors.
• Program PLCs (Rockwell) and HMIs (FactoryTalk/Cimplicity/Wonderware/Ignition).
• Communicate plan progress to stakeholders and manage project deliverables.
