Job summary

Connectly Recruiting seeks a Controls Engineer II to own the full engineering lifecycle of custom automation and process control systems. You will drive inception through validation, programming, integration, debugging, and on-site commissioning, leveraging electrical design and software architecture with safety compliance.

You’ll work with multidisciplinary teams to meet project milestones. The role requires 5+ years in industrial automation, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley expertise, AutoCAD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; equivalent practical experience considered.
• 5+ years designing, building, and programming custom automation systems.
• Experience with NEC, NFPA 79, and RIA TR R15.06 electrical codes.
• Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platform experience required; other platforms preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical; travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and programming of machine control software architectures.
• Integrate robotics, vision, drives, and servo applications into control logic.
• Design electrical panels and schematics in AutoCAD Electrical.
• Coordinate system integration, debugging, and on-site commissioning.
• Provide on-site startup, training, and handover documentation.
• Mentor junior controls engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
