Job summary

FMH Conveyors is seeking a Controls Engineer - Electrical to join our Engineering Team. You will design electrical power and control circuits, develop CAD models, and program PLCs across various conveyor products.

Collaboration with mechanical engineers and ERP integration are key parts of the role. Responsibilities include developing schematics, BOMs, and engineering configurators, while supporting lean initiatives and shop-floor validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 2–4 years experience in engineering and design of manufactured equipment; 5+ preferred.
• CAD experience in 2D and 3D; ability to read and create schematics.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical schematics for power and controls using 2-D CAD.
• Create 3-D CAD models of electrical components and enclosures.
• Write PLC ladder logic for multiple PLC types; program in ERP system modules.
• Configure Engineering Configurators in ERP to automate conveyor design.
• Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues on engineered products.
• Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers on power and controls design.
