Job summary

FMH Conveyors designs and manufactures conveyor systems for distribution centers, e‑commerce, parcel post, and retail. The Mechanical Engineer will lead design efforts for flexible and rigid conveyor products, collaborate with CAD staff, and ensure accurate BOM/MOM configuration in ERP.

The role involves developing electrical schematics for power and controls, performing structural analyses, and supporting Lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 5–10 years of engineering and design experience in manufacturing equipment.
• Proficient in 3-D CAD modeling and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Design conveyors, components and sub‑components.
• Create and modify BOMs and MOMs in ERP.
• Develop electrical schematics for power and controls where applicable.
• Coordinate with engineers and CAD designers to ensure accurate models.
• Support Lean initiatives to reduce scrap and costs.
