Job summary

FMH Conveyors, part of the Duravant family, seeks a Controls Engineer–Electrical to join the Engineering Team. You will design power and control circuits, develop PLC logic, and model components in Inventor/SolidWorks for conveyor systems.

Collaboration with Mechanical Engineers and ERP-driven configurator work are key parts of the role. Responsibilities include creating BOMs/MOMs, coding in PLCs and VBA within ERP, and supporting installation and startup at customer sites.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 2–4 years of engineering/design in manufacturing preferred.
• CAD experience in 2-D and 3-D required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and regulations.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and BOM/MOM management is desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop power and control systems design for conveyors in ERP environment.
• Create electrical schematics and 3-D CAD models for components.
• Write PLC ladder logic for multiple PLC types and verify with testing.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers on power/controls integration.
• Lead or assist with R&D projects and engineering configurators.
