Job summary

E Tech Group is seeking a Controls Engineer to join our team of engineers delivering control system projects across diverse industries. You will design, test, deploy and maintain control solutions, and collaborate with clients to deliver optimal results.

You will support design through startup, perform testing, and travel regionally as needed. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in the field are expected, along with the ability to work independently and adapt to client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in the control system industry.
• Able to work independently on projects with an organized approach.
• Basic understanding of control system network topologies.
• Instrumentation calibration/startup experience.
• Experience commissioning in live environments.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% (mostly local with remote support).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a team member supporting the execution of project work from design through implementation.
• Develop/modify design documentation – drawing packages, procedures, sequence of operations, testing scripts.
• Perform quality checks and bench testing of PLC, HMI, & SCADA programs.
• Provide onsite and remote support for commissioning system design changes.
• Collaborate with installation teams to monitor progress, QA/QC installation, tests, and communications.
• Travel as needed to participate in design, development, and start-up at client sites.
• Be an ambassador embodying core values and client-focused solutions.
