Job summary

HelloFresh is seeking a hands-on Senior Manager, Reliability (Controls & Conveyance) to own reliability across our North American fulfillment network. You will lead a growing controls team, set engineering standards, and coordinate with operations, IT, and facilities to improve uptime and performance.

You will drive root-cause analyses, manage system launches, and oversee conveyors, sorters, and automation across multiple sites, ensuring scalable, safe, and cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in industrial controls, automation, or facility maintenance.
• 5+ years in people leadership and team scaling.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, networks, robotics, and motor controls.
• Experience integrating WMS/WCS/WES in high-volume settings.
• Proven record launching large-scale automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and scale a multi-site controls and automation team.
• Set technical standards for PLC, HMI, networks, and robotics.
• Own controls coverage across U.S. fulfillment sites.
• Oversee sorters, erectors, AutoStore, robots, and conveyors.
• Partner with ops, facilities, and IT on WMS/WCS/WES integrations.
• Lead root-cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
• Support new site launches from design to stabilization.
• Manage budgets, vendors, spares, and lifecycle strategy.
• Report reliability and performance metrics to senior leadership.
