Job summary

Conti LLC’s Controls Automation Division seeks a Controls Automation Sales Estimator to drive growth in the Florida market. The role blends business development with estimating, requiring client meetings, site visits, and ownership of the takeoff process from start to finish.

The ideal candidate is self-starting, can work remotely with accountability, and will collaborate with the existing Controls Sales team to ensure accurate, compelling proposals for a diverse portfolio of projects.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in controls automation or related fields, estimating preferred.
• Experience in controls, automation, or manufacturing environments is relevant.
• Proficient in Bluebeam and Excel; able to use estimating templates.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication for client-facing work.
• Self-motivated with ability to manage a remote, independent schedule.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new customer relationships in Detroit and Maumee markets.
• Meet clients, visit sites, and attend industry events and dinners.
• Lead full sales cycle from outreach to project award.
• Maintain professional follow-up and documentation, written and verbal.
• Build long-term relationships with owners, engineers, and contractors.
• Generate quotes and proposals for projects up to $20M+.
• Perform material takeoffs and scope reviews using templates.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and project documents.
• Collaborate with internal team to ensure accurate estimates.
