Job summary

Conti LLC is seeking a Controls Automation Sales Estimator to drive growth in the Detroit and Maumee markets. The role blends business development with hands-on estimating, requiring you to meet clients, manage the full sales cycle, and own takeoffs from start to finish.

You will work remotely with preference for Northern Ohio or Southeast Michigan, collaborating with the Controls Sales team and reporting to the Division Director.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in controls automation, HVAC, building automation, or related field; estimating experience strongly preferred.
• Background in controls, automation, or manufacturing environments is highly relevant.
• Proficient in Bluebeam and Excel; ability to work within estimating templates.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction documents, and specifications.
• Strong verbal and written communication; client-facing interaction and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Sales & Business Development (50%): identify and pursue new client relationships in Detroit and Maumee, meet clients, attend site visits, represent Conti LLC at dinners and events, manage the full sales cycle from outreach to award, maintain professional follow-up.
• Estimating (50%): generate quotes for projects from small service work to $20M+, perform takeoffs and scope reviews using Bluebeam and Excel templates, read blueprints and specs, collaborate with internal team to reflect scope and budget, maintain documentation.
