R.D. Barnett PLLC is seeking a Controller to own the firm’s day-to-day finance work, deliver financial insights to leadership, and improve systems behind the work.

You’ll manage accounting, billing, receivables, payables, payroll, and close activities while building stronger reporting, forecasts, controls, and workflows. This hands-on role requires strong accounting experience and a knack for meaningful financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Full accounting cycle ownership including month-end close.
• Forecasts, budgets, and financial reporting responsibilities.
• Hands-on approach to build more efficient processes.
• Experience with payroll, benefits, receivables, and payables.
• Strong Excel and systems literacy for analysis and reporting.
• Clear communication and sound discretion in handling sensitive data.
• CPA or CMA credential is a plus; CPA-firm experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting, billing, receivables, payables, payroll, and close activities.
• Develop and maintain reporting, forecasts, and cash-flow projections.
• Create budgets and budget-to-actual analyses; analyze revenue and costs.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities; translate into recommendations.
• Support leadership decisions with financial analysis and scenarios.
• Oversee benefits administration and vendor partnerships.
• Improve workflows across QuickBooks, Practice CS, Ignition, Anchor, and Excel.
