Job summary

RRM Design Group is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting team, guide financial operations, and support sustainable growth. Reporting to the COO, the role oversees all accounting functions, influences strategy, and strengthens financial systems.

The ideal candidate has a BA in accounting or finance, 10+ years in finance, including 5–6 years as a controller, and proven mentoring skills. Experience with project accounting and Unanet is a plus in our ESOP-driven, employee-owned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
10 years in accounting/finance; 5–6 years as controller.
Experience with project accounting.
Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
Experience using Unanet is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and develop the accounting team including Project Accounting, Payroll, AP/AR, and Collections.
Collaborate with workgroup principals, market sector leaders, and management to support and execute strategic plan goals.
Developing, maintaining, and overseeing annual budgets and business planning structures.
Preparing accurate and timely month-end and year-end close financial statements.
Managing cash flow analysis and forecasting.
Drive continuous improvement through research and enhancement of software, processes, efficiency, and best practices.
