Job summary

BioIntelliSense, a remote-first medical technology company with offices in Golden, CO and Redwood City, CA, seeks a CPA-licensed Controller to own the accounting function. You will manage a small team, drive the monthly close, lead audits, and author ASC 606 memos for complex multi-element contracts spanning hardware, SaaS data services, and government-funded programs.

The role requires 8+ years of progressive accounting experience (3+ as Controller) and deep GAAP knowledge, including revenue

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• 8+ years of total accounting experience with 3+ years as Controller or equivalent.
• Audit experience at Big 4 or national firm with tech, life sciences, or medical device exposure.
• Strong GAAP knowledge including ASC 606 and multi-element arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical accounting file and draft ASC 606 memos.
• Lead monthly close, prepare GAAP financial statements and footnotes.
• Coordinate audits, tax returns, and compliance with external advisors.
• Coach and develop the accounting team and support budgeting/Board materials.
