Job summary

Limiting Factor Group, based in Menlo Park, CA, seeks a Lead Controller to run accounting operations, lead the close process, and oversee the accuracy of the company’s books. The role manages the accounting team, audits, fixed assets, and policy design, requiring an active CPA and 5+ years in accounting, including 3+ as a lead controller.

The position is on site in Menlo Park with full-time hours and a comprehensive benefits package, including long-term incentives and retirement options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years as a lead controller.
• Active CPA license.
• Hands-on experience with an ERP such as NetSuite or a similar system.
• Experience leading or conducting financial statement audits.
• Bonus if you have experience with construction-in-progress, fixed assets and lease accounting.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial close and financial reporting (US GAAP and cash).
• Design and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
• Coordinate the annual audit and tax filings with outside firms.
• Maintain company chart of accounts and lead improvements to the accounting system (ERP).
• Review account reconciliations and resolve technical accounting issues.
