Job summary

Notabene is seeking a senior accounting leader to own the external audit, close, and policy for a two-entity, multi-currency business. You will direct ASC 606, ASC 350-40 for software capitalization, ASC 718 for stock compensation, and ensure robust policy and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading accounting in a venture-backed company.
• Proven track record taking a company through a first external audit and addressing issues.
• Month-end close ownership across multiple entities/currencies.
• Deep hands-on ASC 606 revenue recognition experience.
• Experience building policy, processes, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Audit: Own readiness assessments and auditor relationship.
• Close and reporting: Manage monthly/quarterly/annual close for two entities and produce GAAP statements.
• Technical accounting: Write memos on ASC 606, ASC 350-40, and ASC 718.
• Revenue and billing systems: Own configuration and data integrity between Billing and GL.
• Cost accounting: Develop payroll allocation and software capitalization policies.
• Controls: Design and implement controls over revenue, cash, procure-to-pay, and payroll.
• Automation: Assess and improve accounting tech stack with an automation focus.
• Accounting operations: Oversee AR, collections, AP, payroll accounting.
• Tax: Coordinate US tax compliance with external advisers; Swiss coordination.
• External providers: Own the checklist, policies, and reconciliations across providers.
