Cala Sourcing Solutions LLC is seeking a hands‑on Controller to lead accounting operations for a growing company. Remote anywhere in the U.S. , with Pacific Time hours, you will report to the CFO and own the accounting function.

The role requires an active CPA license, 7+ years of U.S. GAAP experience, ASC 606 expertise, and audit management. Strong systems experience and a passion for automation are essential for scaling finance activities.

• Hands-on, highly detailed accounting approach with ability to manage transactional and higher‑level finance tasks.
• Must reside in the U.S. and be able to work Pacific Time hours.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee daily accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR, payroll accounting, and reconciliations.
• Ensure GAAP compliance, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and strong internal controls.
• Manage multi-entity consolidations, including international operations.
• Coordinate SEC reporting, external audits, and tax compliance with third‑party providers.
• Partner with CFO on budgeting, forecasting, KPIs, and financial planning.
• Optimize accounting systems, automation, processes, and reporting.
• Provide hands-on accounting support while building a scalable finance function.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated, hands‑on Controller to lead accounting operations for a growing organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller ready to take ownership of the accounting function, partner directly with the CFO, and play a key role in the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations, month‑end close, financial reporting, AP/AR, payroll accounting, and reconciliations.

Ensure GAAP compliance, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and strong internal controls.

Manage multi‑entity consolidations, including international operations.

Coordinate SEC reporting, external audits, and tax compliance with third‑party providers.

Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, KPIs, and financial planning.

Optimize accounting systems, automation, processes, and reporting.

Provide hands‑on accounting support while helping build a scalable finance function.

Non‑Negotiable Requirements

Active CPA license – REQUIRED.

7+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge.

ASC 606 revenue recognition experience – REQUIRED.

Audit experience – REQUIRED, either conducting audits or managing external audits.

Strong accounting systems expertise – REQUIRED, including process improvement and automation.

Must be highly hands‑on, comfortable managing transactional accounting as well as higher‑level financial responsibilities.

Must reside in the U.S. and work Pacific Time hours.

Highly Preferred

SaaS, technology, or recurring‑revenue industry experience.

NetSuite or similar ERP experience.

SEC reporting and SOX compliance exposure.

Commission accounting and multi‑entity consolidation experience.
