Job summary

MSG Companies is seeking a Controller to own accounting and financial reporting across seven affiliated cybersecurity and technology companies. You will manage the close, consolidations, intercompany accounting, and cash forecasting while maintaining strong internal controls.

The role requires hands-on management of AR/AP, journal entries, and reconciliations, with accountability for accurate month-end reporting and strategic financial analysis.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of monthly close.
• Experience with multi-entity and intercompany accounting.
• GAAP knowledge and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• AR/AP oversight and cash forecasting.
• Strong leadership and review of staff work.
• Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close across seven entities and prepare consolidated financial statements.
• Manage intercompany accounting, allocations, reconciliations, and eliminations; establish close calendar and controls.
• Oversee cash, AR, AP activities, including forecasting, collections, and reconciliations; ensure timely approvals.
• Deliver monthly management reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis; support CFO with lender reporting and acquisitions.
• Review and improve accounting processes; identify automation opportunities without compromising controls.
