Job summary

MSG Companies is seeking a Controller to own accounting and financial reporting across seven affiliated cybersecurity and technology entities. You will manage monthly close, consolidated statements, intercompany accounting, cash forecasting, AR/AP, and internal controls while tracing discrepancies to underlying transactions.

The role demands multi-entity accounting, GAAP knowledge, and advanced Excel. You will also support budgeting, lender reporting, and strategic analysis within the finance

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience including a monthly close.
• Multi-entity and consolidated financial reporting expertise.
• Strong intercompany accounting and eliminations experience.
• General-ledger accounting and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• AR/AP oversight, cash reporting, and forecasting.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (or equivalent).
• CPA or CMA credentials valued but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close across seven legal entities.
• Prepare entity-level and consolidated GAAP financial statements.
• Manage intercompany accounting, allocations, reconciliations, and eliminations.
• Maintain the close calendar, procedures, and internal controls.
• Investigate discrepancies and support reconciliations and journal entries.
• Oversee cash reporting, AR/AP, and 13-week cash forecast.
• Support budgeting, lender reporting, and scenario analysis.
