Whitley Penn, a leading firm in audit, tax and advisory, seeks a Controller for its Energy Accounting & Consulting team in Houston. The role emphasizes advanced technical accounting, client service, and developing associates while expanding profitable energy-focused engagements.

TheEnergy-AC Controller will supervise engagements, coordinate staff, and drive value-added services with leadership across the firm to support growth and quality client outcomes.

Formación

• 10+ years of Oil & Gas accounting and analysis, primarily Upstream/E&P.
• Public accounting or professional services experience preferred.
• Experience with setting up accounting functions/process and implementation.

Responsabilidades

• Develop tools, systems and processes for Oil & Gas Upstream accounting clients.
• Serve as liaison between partner, client and staff; manage multiple client engagements.
• Oversee engagement economics and engagement workflow; monitor profitability.
• Develop client service plans and improve policies/processes as needed.
• Mentor and train associates to grow capabilities and succession.
