Suron is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead and scale the accounting function across multiple entities. You will own day-to-day accounting, controls, and consolidations while shaping financial infrastructure for growth and institutional capital.

The role emphasizes building processes, implementing systems such as NetSuite, and eventually mentoring a junior accountant in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of accounting and finance experience.

Compensation: $240,000–$275,000 base + 30% bonus + equity

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a high-growth infrastructure platform that is seeking an experienced Controller to build and lead its accounting function as the company continues to scale.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys building from the ground up. The Controller will take ownership of day-to-day accounting, internal controls, consolidations, and financial infrastructure across multiple legal entities while helping implement the systems and processes needed to support future growth and institutional capital.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations across multiple legal entities
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting processes
• Lead financial consolidations and reporting
• Manage accounting for complex capital and infrastructure development projects
• Oversee fixed assets, depreciation, and utility-related accounting
• Help evaluate and implement new accounting systems, with a likely transition to NetSuite
• Build scalable accounting processes to support continued company growth
• Prepare the accounting function for future institutional capital and reporting requirements
• Help build the accounting team, including eventually managing a junior accountant

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience
• Significant Controller-level or comparable accounting leadership experience
• Experience within data centers, real estate, infrastructure development, or complex capital projects strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of fixed assets, depreciation, consolidations, and capital project accounting
• Experience developing accounting processes and internal controls
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-growing, build-from-scratch environment
• CPA preferred, but not required for candidates with extensive Controller experience
• Experience with NetSuite or accounting-system implementations is a plus
