Job summary

StevenDouglas is recruiting a Controller for a fast-growing PE-backed healthcare services company in Richardson, TX. This full-time, onsite position leads the accounting function and partners with the Head of Finance to implement scalable financial processes.

You will own the monthly close, GAAP reporting, internal controls, and collaboration with leaders to drive performance; manage a small team and support audits and tax activities as the company grows.

Qualifications

• CPA required.
• Healthcare industry experience required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience including controllership responsibility.
• Strong background in GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and month-end close.
• Experience in a high-growth environment; private-equity backed company experience strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
• Hands-on and detail oriented with ability to think strategically and act tactically.

Join a fast-growing, private equity backed healthcare services company that provides outsourced services to hospitals and healthcare facilities nationwide. The company is expanding rapidly through acquisition and is building out its financial infrastructure to support the next stage of growth.

Position Overview

We're looking for a Controller to lead the accounting function for a growing, PE backed healthcare services organization. This role partners closely with the Head of Finance and offers the opportunity to build scalable financial processes in a fast paced environment. This position is based full time in our Richardson, TX office.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process, financial reporting, and day to day accounting operations
• Oversee the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and cash management
• Establish and maintain strong accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Partner with the Head of Finance on financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
• Deliver clear, actionable financial reporting and analysis to leadership
• Collaborate with operational and commercial leaders to understand business performance and key drivers
• Lead, mentor, and develop a small accounting team
• Improve and scale accounting processes, systems, and controls as the company grows
• Support external audits, tax activities, and other compliance requirements
• Partner with the PE sponsor and executive leadership as needed

Qualifications

• Strong background in GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and month end close
• Experience operating in a high growth environment; PE backed company experience strongly preferred
