Job summary

Recruiting Edge, LLC is assisting a fast-growing construction company in its search for a Controller. The role oversees accounting operations and partners with leadership to analyze financial performance and support data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a managerial role, be hands-on in a growth-oriented environment, and hold a CPA.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years progressive accounting experience with leadership.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, or project-based environments preferred.
• ERP experience and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and ensure timely US GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Oversee accounting operations, including AP, AR, revenue recognition, and job costing.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, financial planning, and operational performance.
• Manage internal and external audit requests.
• Maintain strong internal controls while identifying opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows, and increase efficiency.
• Support audits, financial analysis, and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the month-end close ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Oversee accounting operations, including AP, AR, revenue recognition, and job costing
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, financial planning, and operational performance
• Manage internal and external audit requests
• Maintain strong internal controls while identifying opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows, and increase efficiency

Qualifications
