Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• Progressive accounting experience with Controller-level scope.

Responsibilities

Camino Search is partnering with a top-tier, Private Equity-backed SaaS organization who are undergoing a continued period of strong growth. The company has a proven, scalable software platform, a clear growth trajectory backed by an experienced PE sponsor, and is investing meaningfully growing out a best-in-class finance organization to continue its next stage of scale.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Controller to own the accounting function and serve as a close partner to finance leadership. This is a role for someone who thrives in a growth-stage, PE-backed environment, being comfortable with the rigor and reporting cadence that comes with institutional ownership, while still building and refining process rather than simply maintaining what's already in place.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, driving efficiency and reducing close timelines through process improvement and automation
• Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals, building a high-performing, scalable function
• Manage accounting across a multi-entity structure, including consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and reporting across subsidiaries
• Ensure GAAP compliance, with particular ownership of SaaS-specific technical accounting areas including ASC 606 revenue recognition and deferred revenue
• Drive improvements, championing automation and AI-forward tools to modernize the accounting function
• Manage the annual audit process and relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third parties
• Operate with a high degree of ownership and autonomy in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

What We're Looking For

• CPA required
• Progressive accounting experience with Controller-level scope, including direct management of a team
• SaaS or software industry experience strongly preferred, including familiarity with subscription revenue models and related technical accounting
• Multi-entity accounting and consolidation experience
• Prior experience in a Private Equity-backed or otherwise investor-backed environment, including exposure to sponsor/board reporting
• Big 4 or national public accounting background
• Demonstrated experience improving close processes, implementing systems, and building scalable finance infrastructure
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment with a builder's mindset
