Our client, a rapidly growing and innovative technology company, is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting and finance function and partner closely with executive leadership. Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, revenue recognition, and financial reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for leadership and board reporting
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, collections, and employee expense reimbursements
- Oversee tax registrations, filings, compliance, and coordination with external tax providers
- Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning activities
- Support board and investor reporting, including operating metrics, profitability analysis, and strategic financial insights
- Manage treasury activities, cash flow forecasting, and banking relationships
- Respond to audit, investor, and due diligence requests
- Design, implement, and strengthen internal controls, policies, and financial processes
- Drive process improvement initiatives, automation, and system enhancements
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI and technology to improve finance and accounting efficiency
- Partner cross-functionally to support business growth and operational decision-making
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Progressive accounting leadership experience with strong technical accounting knowledge
- Experience owning month-end close and financial statement preparation
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis experience
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Experience with ERP and accounting systems, including QuickBooks or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with executive leadership
- Interest in technology, automation, and AI-driven process improvements
- CPA designation or progress toward certification
- Startup or high-growth company experience
- Experience with inventory, equipment, manufacturing, or hardware-related accounting
- Experience implementing systems, controls, and scalable finance processes
- Familiarity with spend management tools and modern finance technology platforms

Salary: $180,000 to $240,000, bonus, equity
