Job summary

Talently is seeking a senior finance leader to help scale our manufacturing-focused organization in the United States. You will own the monthly close under U.S. GAAP, manage the general ledger, and drive robust internal controls while partnering with executive leadership on growth initiatives.

You will oversee ERP systems, audits, and equity programs, and mentor a growing accounting team to improve processes, data integrity, and reporting for fundraising and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Manufacturing industry experience is required.
• Proven leadership in managing accounting teams.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience leading month-end/year-end close and audits.
• ERP systems experience and process improvement.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication with executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close under U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
• Develop policies, internal controls, and scalable processes.
• Own the ERP finance module, reporting, and data integrity.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and planning.
• Manage external audits and coordination of reviews.
• Oversee tax and payroll accounting and compliance.
• Manage equity programs accounting and stock plans.
• Identify automation opportunities and build scalable infra.
• Lead and develop accounting team and partner with leadership.

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure accurate financial reporting under U.S. GAAP.
• Oversee general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
• Develop and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls as the company scales.
• Own the finance side of the ERP system, improving processes, reporting, data integrity, and system functionality.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and other financial planning initiatives.
• Manage external audit relationships and coordinate annual audits and financial reviews.
• Oversee tax and payroll accounting activities and related compliance requirements.
• Manage accounting for equity programs and employee stock plans.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes and build scalable financial infrastructure.
• Lead and develop accounting team members while establishing effective processes and priorities.
• Partner with executive leadership on financial performance, business decisions, fundraising, and growth initiatives.

Must-Have Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Manufacturing industry experience
• Proven leadership experience managing, mentoring, and developing accounting teams
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Proven experience leading month-end and year-end close processes
• Experience with ERP systems and financial process improvement
• Experience managing external audits and working with outside accounting advisors
• Strong Excel and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with executive leadership.
