Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong full-cycle accounting, GAAP, and month-end close knowledge.
• Advanced QuickBooks and solid Excel skills.
• Hands-on professional who can operate independently and take ownership.
• SaaS, subscription-based, or professional services experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting function including full cycle, financial reporting, and month-end close.
• Collaborate with leadership and external CFO to improve processes.
• Identify opportunities to automate workflows and strengthen reporting.
• Provide accurate, timely financial information for decision making.
• Support growth initiatives and scalable finance processes.

I'm working with a growing, entrepreneurial business in Princeton, NJ, looking to add a hands-on Controller to its team.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of the accounting function, work directly with the CEO, and help build efficient, scalable processes in a collaborative environment.
