Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• Manufacturing experience is a MUST.
• Expert Excel skills with pivot tables and lookups.
• Proficiency with a major ERP system.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Month-end closings, financial reporting, and coordinating audits.
• Assist with annual budget and forecasting processes.
• Fixed assets maintenance and job costing/reporting.
• Inventory review and reporting metrics.
• Provide recommendations to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Establish and enforce policies and procedures to guide financial decisions.
• Protect assets by developing and maintaining internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Recruit, orient, and train financial staff; coach and discipline as needed.

Overview of the Controller role

• Month-end closings, financial reporting, and coordinating of audits
• Assist with annual budget and forecasting processes
• Fixed Assets Maintenance
• Job Costing/Reporting
• Inventory Review
• Reporting Metrics
• Provide recommendations for improvements to efficiency and accuracy
• Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
• Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements
• Maintains financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
• Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees

Preferred Qualifications for the Controller

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
• Manufacturing experience is a MUST
• Expertise in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, XLOOKUP’s

Salary: $125,000 – $160,000
