Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks a Controller to lead the full finance and accounting function on-site in Morrow, GA. The role partners with the CFO and executive leadership on forecasting, budgeting, and strategic financial initiatives.

The ideal candidate will hold a CPA, have 8+ years of accounting/finance experience (including ACFR and GASB), and have 3+ years of leadership experience overseeing finance teams in public sector or related fields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting/financial management experience, including ACFR and GASB experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing accounting or finance teams; public sector/government experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting operations.
• Oversee preparation of ACFR, annual audit, and regulatory reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, GASB, internal controls and governmental regulations.
• Partner with leadership to provide financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic recommendations.
• Develop and mentor finance staff while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

• Develop and mentor finance staff while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
