CFS in Fresno, CA is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting function and partner with senior leadership to drive financial strategy. This is a high-visibility role with significant influence across the organization.

You will oversee month-end close, financial reporting, forecasting, internal controls, and process improvements while mentoring the accounting team. This full-time role offers a competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with Controller or senior leadership experience.
• Strong technical accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting expertise.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to develop a high-performing accounting team.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, process improvement, and financial systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to executives.
• Strategic, hands-on leader who can manage the big picture and dive into details.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and oversee all accounting operations, including AP, AR, General Ledger, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Direct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reporting.
• Provide leadership with meaningful financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Establish and strengthen accounting processes, controls, and reporting procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and financial visibility.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and other financial partners.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
• Partner cross-functionally with leadership and operational teams on strategic initiatives.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant Controller or senior accounting leadership experience
• Strong technical accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting expertise
• Proven leadership experience and the ability to develop a high-performing accounting team
• Strong understanding of internal controls, process improvement, and financial systems
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to executive leadership
• Strategic, hands-on leader who is comfortable both managing the big picture and diving into the details
