Are you a CPA-certified financial leader with a passion for operational excellence and team empowerment? We’re seeking a results-driven Controller with a proven track record in large-scale, inventory-based environments to join our dynamic Finance leadership team. This role is pivotal in delivering timely, accurate financials, driving strategic insights, and motivating high-performing teams across multiple business units.

About the Role:

As the Controller, you will take full ownership of accounting operations and consolidated reporting, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and business alignment at every level. Reporting directly to the VP of Accounting, you will be a hands-on leader who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This is a key opportunity to shape financial processes, scale efficiencies, and champion accountability company-wide.

What You’ll Do:

• Own the preparation and delivery of accurate, GAAP-compliant consolidated financial statements.
• Lead day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, payroll, cost accounting, and financial systems.
• Drive insights at both the branch and plant level through collaboration with Finance and Operations teams.
• Execute complex accounting functions (e.g., valuations, consolidations, transfer pricing, lease accounting).
• Champion a faster, more efficient close cycle—targeting a 5-day monthly close.
• Refine internal controls, accounting policies, and audit readiness.
• Lead annual and interim audits with precision, meeting all timelines and deliverables.
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, supply chain, and IT to align systems with business strategies.
• Mentor, motivate, and develop a growing team—fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Provide key support during annual budgeting cycles and strategic initiatives.

What You Bring:

• CPA certification required with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting leadership, including 3+ years as a Controller in a large manufacturing or distribution organization.
• Deep understanding of inventory product GCP, cost accounting, and multi-site operations.
• Demonstrated success leading full-cycle close processes, audits, and financial consolidations.
• Strong command of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and compliance frameworks.
• A motivating leadership style and a passion for developing empowered, accountable teams.
• Hands-on approach with a sharp eye for process improvement and operational alignment.
