About the Role

A high-growth real estate investment platform is seeking a Controller to lead financial operations, reporting, and strategy across its portfolio of commercial, industrial, and lending assets. This executive-level role combines hands-on accounting management with high-level fund oversight and capital planning.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Financial Operations: Oversee accounting, fund operations, and loan servicing with support from internal and third-party teams.
• Drive Strategic Planning: Manage cash flow forecasting, refinancing analysis, and portfolio-level financial modeling.
• Own Reporting: Deliver tailored reports for leadership, lenders, and family office stakeholders—monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc.
• Enhance Controls & Compliance: Build and improve internal controls, accounting cycles, audit readiness, and regulatory filings.
• Partner Across Functions: Work with legal, audit, investor relations, and fund administrators to support scalable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all accounting functions and monthly closings.
• Manage fund capital allocations, loan onboarding, and interest distribution.
• Serve as main point of contact for lenders, loan servicers, and investors.
• Create and refine dashboards, KPIs, and cash flow forecasts.
• Implement systems and process improvements for scalable operations.

What You Bring

• 10+ years of experience in real estate finance, private credit, or investment management.
• Background in fund operations, accounting leadership, and refinancing strategies.
• Strong technical fluency in GAAP, cash flow modeling, and financial reporting.
• Experience with Yardi Voyager and advanced Excel modeling.
• Bachelor’s degree required; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
