Key Responsibilities:

• Support the creation and enforcement of financial and operational controls across budgeting, financial reporting, revenue tracking, cost management, and asset oversight.
• Oversee accurate financial reporting for all plant operations, including cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and fixed asset management.
• Build and maintain standard cost models for production, including labor tools; conduct audits to verify their accuracy.
• Offer financial guidance to all departments, aiding with procurement, inventory management, cost tracking, budgeting, and interpretation of financial data.
• Conduct thorough analysis and reporting of standard cost variances, including but not limited to:
• Variances in purchase prices, production yield, labor efficiency, overhead rates, and spending (both fixed and variable).
• Evaluation of product mix, customer mix, average selling price (ASP), and contribution margins.
• Clearly communicate financial insights and develop detailed, actionable reports for stakeholders.
• Align financial efforts and reporting with the broader strategic and operational goals of the plant.
• Assist with and take the lead in preparing budgets for operational expenses and capital investment needs.
• Provide detailed financial evaluations to support capital investment proposals, including ROI and payback analysis along with required documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of all plant assets and coordinate routine physical asset verifications.
• Ensure sound financial judgment in operational decisions, with a strong focus on value creation and cash flow optimization.
• Implement internal control practices at the local level to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Guide and mentor team members within the plant’s finance and controlling functions to support professional growth.
• Facilitate training for the Plant Management team to deepen their understanding of financial metrics and reports.
• Foster a collaborative environment within the Plant Management and company-wide Finance/Accounting teams.
• Conduct periodic audits of plant operations to validate standard cost and bill of materials accuracy.
• Lead and manage the Cost Accounting and Data Management teams.
• Develop and roll out formal financial policies and standard operating procedures.
• Perform additional tasks as required by leadership.
