Responsibilities

• Lead accounting and financial operations including reporting, budgeting, forecasting.

Compensation: $150K–$190K + Benefits - DOE

Full-Time | Onsite

Company Revenue: Approximately $150M annually

We are partnering with an established, growing organization in Jacksonville to hire a Controller who will serve as the senior financial leader for the business. This is a highly visible, hands-on role working directly with executive leadership and overseeing the accounting and financial operations of an approximately $150M organization.

This person will lead a growing accounting function while remaining involved in the day-to-day details. The right candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, treasury and cash management experience, and the ability to use financial data to help leadership make better business decisions.

What You'll Own

• Lead the company's accounting and financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial planning.
• Oversee daily cash activity, banking relationships, debt obligations, lines of credit, funding needs, and fraud-prevention controls.
• Own monthly and annual financial reporting and ensure accurate, timely financial statements.
• Maintain strong controls across the general ledger, balance sheet, cash, debt, revenue, expenses, and accruals.
• Provide leadership and oversight across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other accounting functions.
• Coordinate external audits, tax preparation, and supporting schedules.
• Partner directly with executive leadership on financial performance, risk, operational efficiency, and long-term planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, reporting, and overall financial visibility.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, HR, technology, and other business leaders.
• Support accounting system enhancements, technology implementations, and process automation initiatives.
• Lead, develop, and hold the accounting team accountable while remaining willing to step into the details when needed.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Strong Controller-level or senior accounting leadership experience.
• Experience supporting a mid-sized, complex organization; experience around the $100M+ revenue level is highly preferred.
• Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing treasury, cash flow, banking relationships, and debt.
• Proven experience leading and developing accounting teams.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn financial information into actionable business recommendations.
• Experience improving accounting processes, systems, or financial technology.
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on environment where leadership and execution are equally important.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Power BI, or comparable ERP/reporting platforms is a plus.
