Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong progressive accounting and finance experience in manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of GAAP, general ledger and financial reporting.
• Hands-on manufacturing cost accounting, inventory and operational finance.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Ability to partner with operations and senior leadership.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close, general ledger, account reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning for the operation.
• Partner with site leadership on financial performance, operational decisions and business initiatives.
• Analyze product and customer profitability, margins and key operational drivers.
• Oversee manufacturing cost accounting including inventory, labor, overhead and production variances.
• Manage working capital analysis including inventory, receivables and cash forecasting.
• Maintain a strong internal control environment and support internal and external audit activities.
• Prepare and present financial results, forecasts and performance analysis to corporate leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and business analytics.
• Lead and develop accounting staff while remaining actively involved in day-to-day accounting.

KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting has partnered with a growing manufacturing company in the Hudson, NH area in its search for a Controller. This is a highly visible role serving as the senior finance leader for the operation and working closely with both site and corporate leadership.

This position is ideal for a hands‑on manufacturing finance leader who enjoys being close to the business. The Controller will own the accounting and financial reporting function while partnering with operations on costing, margins, inventory, forecasting and overall business performance. The company is experiencing significant growth, providing an opportunity to help shape and scale the finance function as the operation expands.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with manufacturing cost accounting, inventory and operational finance
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Ability to partner effectively with operations and senior leadership
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems

Compensation: $165K–$170K plus a 15% target bonus and excellent benefits. The position is based in the Hudson, NH area.
