Job summary

Blue Signal Search seeks an accomplished Controller to help build a world-class finance organization amid strategic growth in a fast-paced environment. You will lead accounting ops, strengthen controls, and provide insights to drive long-term success.

Work closely with executives to design scalable processes, guide external audits, and manage ERP systems. A hands-on leader will mentor the team and advance automation initiatives ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.
• Background with a Big 4 accounting firm or highly regarded regional public accounting firm.
• Experience with an Academy Company environment or similar leadership development programs.
• Demonstrated success implementing ERP or enterprise accounting systems.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, audit management, internal controls, and compliance.
• Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions, financial modeling, and acquisition integration.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with influence across the business.
• Interest in leveraging AI driven solutions to improve accounting and finance operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations, financial reporting, and month end and year end close activities.
• Design and implement scalable accounting processes, policies, and internal control frameworks.
• Partner with executive leadership to provide timely financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and strategic recommendations.
• Support mergers and acquisitions through due diligence, integration planning, and post acquisition accounting.
• Oversee external audits, tax coordination, regulatory compliance, and lender relationships.
• Develop board quality financial reporting packages and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Evaluate, implement, and optimize ERP and accounting systems, with Deltek Vantagepoint experience preferred.
• Build and mentor a high performing accounting team and establish best practices.
• Drive continuous process improvement, including automation and AI technologies.
• Collaborate cross functionally to deliver meaningful financial insights for decisions.

• Experience leading organizational change and process improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated interest in leveraging AI driven solutions to improve accounting and finance operations.

Preferred Experience

• Deltek Vantagepoint implementation or administration experience.
• Experience within architecture, engineering, consulting, construction, or other project based professional services organizations.
