Overview
We're seeking an experienced Accounting professional for this flexible, full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to drive accounting and financial strategies, work closely with executive leadership to promote transparency, accuracy, and operational excellence and learn the business. The executive team resides in Charlotte, so qualified candidates will need to reside in the Charlotte-area even though you won't be in an office.
What You Will Do
- Manage all daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash flow management.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes to deliver timely, accurate financial statements.
- Implement and monitor strong internal controls, policies, and procedures aligned with GAAP.
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative remote work culture.
- Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports to leadership, supporting strategic decision-making.
- Manage compliance, tax filings, and external audits to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Optimize NetSuite ERP for efficient workflows, reporting, and system integration.
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial systems with organizational growth.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis; leverage data for actionable insights.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5 to 7 years experience in progressive Accounting/Finance roles.
- Proven hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP.
- Active CPA certification and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Reside in the greater Charlotte area to attend in-person meetings as needed.
- Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
