Century Group is partnering with a client seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $185,000 to $200,000 per year.

Lead all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger activity, financial reporting, payroll, payables, receivables, and cash management; oversee close processes and ensure accurate results; drive improvements and automation for scalability.

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting principles, and technical accounting matters.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the accounting function, including general ledger activity, financial reporting, payroll, payables, receivables, and cash management.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure timely and accurate financial results.
• Prepare and review financial statements while analyzing key trends, risks, and business performance drivers.
• Manage audit activities, coordinate with external advisors, and ensure compliance with reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting principles, and technical accounting matters.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain effective internal controls, policies, and governance practices.
• Previous experience managing audits, tax compliance activities, and relationships with external service providers.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills with the ability to work across multiple teams.
• Ability to improve processes, strengthen controls, and support growth in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Prior experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or similar accounting management role.
• CPA designation preferred, along with experience overseeing multi entity accounting operations.
• Background in technology, software, SaaS, or other high growth environments and strong ERP system experience.
