Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is hiring a Control Technician II in Decatur, AL. The role focuses on troubleshooting, setup, and maintaining production equipment, including injection molding related processes.

You will operate with PLCs, support trials, and ensure safety, quality, and timely production across shifts. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth; candidates should have a technical background, willing to work weekends and extended hours, and be legally authorized

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical associate degree preferred.
1+ year manufacturing experience in machine setup, troubleshooting and mold change in a high-volume environment.
Must understand PLCs and be able to perform minor adjustments.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, setup, load, transfer, operate and adjust production equipment.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
Complete changeovers, tool and mold changes for different configurations.
Coordinate with operations leadership to meet deadlines.
Assist in trials and disposition of test or scrap materials.
Use shop-floor tech to monitor equipment and processes (PLCs, smart boards).
