Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is hiring a Control Technician II to support Operations in Decatur, Alabama. The role focuses on process control, setup, troubleshooting, and maintaining high quality, low scrap production.

You will work under the area leader to monitor machines, perform changeovers, and ensure safety and cleanliness on the shop floor. The position requires PLC knowledge and a willingness to work extended hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred for advanced positions.
• 1+ years of manufacturing experience in setup, troubleshooting, or mold change.
• Ability to follow safety rules, pass background/drug tests, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, setup, load, transfer, operate, and adjust production equipment.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance; address equipment malfunctions.
• Complete changeovers and tool changes; configure dies and fixtures as needed.
• Coordinate with operations leadership to prioritize work and hit deadlines.
• Support trials with QA, engineering and maintenance; document results and scrap.
