Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, seeks a Control Technician II - Support Operations in Decatur, AL. You will troubleshoot, set up, and operate production equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and drive process improvements on injection molding and related systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree in a technical field preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in manufacturing machine setup and mold change.
• Knowledge of PLC and ability to make minor adjustments.
• Experience with injection molding or vacuum forming preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs; may work weekends and extended hours.
• Authorized to work in the United States; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, setup, load, transfer, operate and adjust processes and equipment.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance and fix equipment malfunctions.
• Complete changeovers; change dies and modify fixtures for different sizes.
• Collaborate with operations leadership to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with quality, engineering and maintenance for trials and scrap disposition.
• Lead troubleshooting and analysis of equipment, documenting improvements.
• Use PLCs, smart boards, and shop-floor displays to monitor equipment.
• Rotate among department tasks and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Utilize forklift to move parts and materials.
