Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Technical Regulatory Compliance Engineering Specialist to serve as a principal contributor on design or CPPD teams, focusing on safety and regulatory compliance across products and processes.

You will participate in development, interpretation of international standards, and training for internal teams. The role involves auditing hardware and software assessments, collaborating with engineering design teams, and driving efficiency through cross-functional work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering fields or CS; related certification will be pursued.
• Certification in Control System Functional Safety is preferred or will be pursued during the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide control system functional safety and machinery product safety risk assessment support.
• Contribute to Enterprise regulatory compliance and safety teams; collaborate with external committees.
• Lead or participate in design reviews; mentor teams on safety standards and risk assessment.
• Apply SISTEMA and other tools for safety-related control system analysis.
