The role requires a technical degree and experience in product or substance compliance, with strong analytical and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Materials Science, or related field.
• Experience in product compliance, substance compliance, product development, chemical engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects and collaborating across cross-functional and global teams.
• Experience working with suppliers and supply chain partners to collect, validate, and manage technical or compliance data.

Responsibilities

• Assess the impact of global substance compliance regulations on Caterpillar products.
• Partner with product groups to identify compliance requirements, evaluate risks, and support global obligations.
• Develop compliance guidance documents, declarations, procedures, and standard work to support global substance compliance programs.
• Support customer, regulatory, and internal substance compliance inquiries and declaration requests.
• Collect, validate, and manage compliance data from suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Improve compliance processes, systems, and data governance to support global regulatory requirements.
