Job summary

CSNW seeks a Control Staff Engineer 1-3 (Design) to develop and implement electrical control systems for municipal and industrial projects. You will design schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts while selecting PLCs and HMIs to meet client specs.

You will collaborate with mechanical/process engineers, assist in installation and startup, and prepare O&M documentation. Strong problem solving and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechatronics or related field.
• Current EIT license or ability to obtain in WA/ID/OR preferred.
• 0-4 years in control system design; consulting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of PLC hardware selection and reading wiring diagrams.
• Experience with 24V DC protection circuits and AutoCAD for electrical designs.
• Familiarity with Motor Control Center technology.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical control systems for municipal and industrial applications.
• Create and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and BOMs.
• Specify PLCs, HMI systems, sensors, and motor controls.
• Collaborate with mechanical and process engineering teams.
• Support installation and startup with troubleshooting and design support.
• Develop O&M documentation and perform installations inspections.
• Work with clients to improve service quality and project outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with UL, NEC, CE and OSHA standards.
