Job summary

Advanced Integration & Controls is seeking an experienced Electrical/Controls Engineer to lead and support the design, fabrication, and commissioning of automation systems for water and wastewater projects.

You will review customer specs, develop engineering deliverables, and coordinate with Project Management, Production, Purchasing, Field Services, and other departments to ensure on-time, within-budget execution.

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of PLCs and SCADA.
• Knowledge of Water and Wastewater treatment processes.
• Must possess ability to understand process and instrumentation diagrams, electrical schematics and construction drawings.
• Demonstrate ability to manage multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to negotiate, persuade and work collaboratively with customers and staff.
• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulatory requirements, quality systems, and lean manufacturing.
• Need to have excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Coordination; lead review meetings during Pre-Sales and Initiation phases.
• Interpret customer specs and translate to defined engineering scope and deliverables.
• Develop detailed engineering documentation including single-line diagrams and wiring schematics.
• Prepare and review Electrical Distribution and Controls (EDC) submittal packages.
• Develop Field Instrumentation submittal packages and BOMs.
• Draft Seismic Anchorage calculations and coordinate with structural engineers.
• Create Interconnect and Loop Diagrams for installation and commissioning.
• Prepare and review Test Plans and update documentation to reflect as-built conditions.
• Provide training plans and compile O&M manuals; maintain project documentation.
• Lead 3rd party teams to convert concepts into working schematics; support startup and commissioning.
• Occasional on-site support and warranty issue handling; ensure seamless integration of hardware/software.
